Bio

Vinetta and Soobie found her in an attic.

She went through an ordeal of Appleby's runaway and Appleby's return ("She won't want you to see her like this," said Vinetta, "give her a chance").

They moved to Comus House.

He fell in love with her ("Albert Pond is falling in love with you," said Appleby as she sat in front of her dressing table mirror -- "Don't talk rot," Pilbeam replied -- "I didn't mean to vex you") and then they had to be apart forever.

Life went on, and they got birthdays ("Pilbeam can have the birthday, and Soobie can have St Jude's) and bangs, and then there was a shadow by the garden shed, and then there wasn't really anything.

And now she's something different.
